Eng. Fernando Ivo Gonçalves Merit Award

The Engineer Fernando Ivo Gonçalves Award was established in 2016 and in 2017 by an Academic Merit Award Support Agreement, celebrated between Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and Doctor Nuno Eduardo da Silva Ivo Gonçalves, representative of the family of Engineer Fernando Ivo Gonçalves, IST alumnus.

The award aims to reward the best student at IST who, in the year in which the prize is awarded, attends the Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MEEC) and is following the Area of specialization in Energy at MEEC.

Cisco Merit Award in Networks and Internet Services

Cisco Systems Portugal annually awards an academic merit prize to the best student in the curricular unit of Networks and Internet Services at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, IST.

All IST students enrolled at Curricular Units Redes e Serviços de Internet can apply for the Cisco Merit Award in Internet Networks and Services. Students will be graded according to the final classification obtained in the Curricular Unit of Networks and Internet Services.

GTSPT Merit Award in Digital Systems

GTSPT annually awards an academic merit prize to the best student in the Digital Systems curricular unit of IST’s Degree Courses. Candidates for the GTSPT Prize in Digital Systems are IST students of the degrees who have passed the Digital Systems course unit in the academic year to which the Prize relates.

Vodafone Merit Award in Wireless Mobile Networks

Candidates for the Vodafone Merit Award in Mobile and Wireless Networks are all IST students enrolled in the curricular unit of Mobile and Wireless Networks at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST, specifically the teams arranged within the discipline, with a maximum of 3 elements each.

Axians Merit Award in Optimization and Algorithms

Axians annually awards an academic merit award to the best student in the Curricular Unit of Optimization and Algorithms at IST, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Celfocus Merit Award in Machine Learning

Celfocus annually awards an academic merit award to the best student of the Curricular Unit of Machine Learning of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of IST.
