João Damião Almeida, a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering and researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR), will take part in the final of the “Three Minute Thesis” competition on May 21 at 5:00 p.m., at the Pavilhão de Portugal. The event can be followed via livestream on the Público newspaper website.

This competition, organized by the University of Lisbon, aims to promote the development of communication skills. Participants are challenged to present their research to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes, using only a single slide. This year, the initiative is supported by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) and will award cash prizes of €5,000, €2,000, and €1,000 to the top three finalists.
