The second application period for the Doctoral Programs — including Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Information Security (DEASegInf) — will run from December 2, 2025, to January 9, 2026.

Although applications for doctoral programs may be submitted online throughout the year via the Connect platform, they are evaluated only during two defined periods.

Throughout the doctoral program, students will have the opportunity to engage in research projects at both national and international levels, being encouraged to patent innovative results and to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

Técnico offers doctoral programs in collaboration with several universities, both in Portugal and abroad, allowing students, in some cases, to obtain a dual degree.

Last year, Técnico launched its new Doctoral School, which reinforces the focus on company internships and complementary training in transversal skills such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and science communication. In October, a new workspace dedicated to doctoral students was also inaugurated.
