Applications are now open for Doctoral Programmes (3rd cycle) at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. Students may apply until 19 July to the programmes in Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering (PDEEC), Aerospace Engineering (DEAer), and Information Security (DEASegInf).

Candidates may attend doctoral programmes at Técnico offered in partnership with national and international universities, with the possibility of obtaining a double degree, depending on the available offer on the website of the Postgraduate Area. They may also begin their PhD through the PhD Fast Track option, while still enrolled in a master’s programme.

Applications for doctoral programmes are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year and must be submitted exclusively online. However, they are only evaluated during the defined application periods. The first application period runs from 15 June to 19 July 2026. The second runs from 30 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. Applications must be submitted via the Connect platform.

Enrolment and registration take place from 24 August to 11 September 2026.
