APREN Award Opens Applications

Prazo de candidaturas: 23 de janeiro

This year, the APREN Award will grant four distinctions: two in the PhD category, corresponding to €5,500 and €3,500, and two in the Master’s category, worth €4,000 and €2,000.

This initiative is aimed at students who have completed theses related to the renewable energy sector at Portuguese higher education institutions.

The 11th edition will feature Pedro Carvalho, professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and researcher at INESC-ID, on the jury, which will also include representatives from key public entities in the energy sector, such as the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG), the Climate Agency (ApC), and the National Laboratory for Energy and Geology (LNEG).

Applications are open until 23 January.
