Técnico launches bachelor's degree in general engineering
O curso permitirá aos estudantes seguir percursos mais flexíveis, incluindo o contacto com unidades curriculares de engenharia eletrotécnica e de computadores.

In the next academic year, students will be able to enroll in the new bachelor's degree offered by Técnico. This course will be taught in English, aiming to promote an international environment from the very first year. There will be 30 places available for national students and 20 for international students.
The program combines a foundational training in fundamental sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, computing, quantitative methods, basic sciences) with progressive exposure to different areas of engineering, including a strong component of artificial intelligence and modern learning methodologies. Throughout the degree, students will be able to choose personalized paths, including electrical and computer engineering, aerospace, electronics, telecommunications and informatics, and data science.
The pedagogical approach is inspired by educational models such as the Olin College of Engineering in the United States, or the Singapore University of Technology and Design, created in collaboration with MIT, basing learning on projects and real-world problem-solving from the earliest years of training.
Similar to other courses at Técnico, national students will be able to enter this program through the national access competition, by taking exams in Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics A. There will also be places for institution/course transfers, holders of higher education degrees, and applicants over the age of 23.
