The awards ceremony took place on 16 June at the Portugal Pavilion Congress Centre, marking the closing of the University of Lisbon Scientific Conferences. The theme of this edition was “Scientific Cooperation in a Changing World”. The event highlighted the role of collaboration in knowledge production and in addressing contemporary scientific and technological challenges.

Among the 22 scientific awards granted this year by the University of Lisbon, two DEEC faculty members were distinguished: André Martins, researcher at the Telecommunications Institute, and Hugo Morais, researcher at INESC-ID, who each received an award of €6,500.

Professor Francisco Alegria, researcher at the Telecommunications Institute, was also distinguished with an honourable mention.
