The distinguished professors are António M. Pascoal and José Santos-Victor (both researchers at LARSyS – Laboratory for Robotics and Engineering Systems), Mário Silveirinha and Paulo André (both researchers at the Institute of Telecommunications), Hugo Morais (a researcher at INESC-ID), and Paulo Oliveira (a researcher at IDMEC).

This ranking, developed by Research.com, is based on data related to the publication of scientific articles. The data are collected annually from sources such as OpenAlex (an open academic database that compiles information on scientific publications, authors, institutions, journals, and citations) and CrossRef (the organization responsible for managing and registering Digital Object Identifiers – DOIs).

A total of 279,971 scientist profiles were analyzed, of which 40 were selected specifically for the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Portugal.
