Minors 2025/2026

Students enrolling in a master's programme in the upcoming academic year may apply for Minors between July 1 and 31. These are sets of courses, totalling 18 ECTS, in a specific field that complement the specialized training of 2nd Cycle programmes.

The Minors option allows students to explore skills related to their areas of interest that are not directly part of their programme’s curriculum. The offer is available across all Técnico master's degrees. However, if a Minor’s courses fall predominantly within the scientific area of a given degree, students enrolled in that degree will not be eligible to apply for it.

award celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship projects created by Técnico students enrolled in Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses. It aims to promote and recognize innovative ideas and projects from the Técnico community.

PhD Fast Track – Técnico Doctoral School

The PhD Fast Track program, from the Técnico Doctoral School, is designed for high-achieving students wishing to start a PhD during their Master’s, over five years (10 semesters), combining both study cycles.

Applications are open until September. Eligible applicants include students from any institution, national or international, completing their Bachelor’s this year or currently in the 1st year of a Master’s at Técnico. Top students are considered those who achieved an A-Level (top 10% of the class) or 17/20 in their Bachelor’s.
