Unite! Seed Fund
The Unite! Seed Fund is a fund designed to support innovative, co-creative, and collaborative ideas developed by professors, researchers, and students from the universities within the Unite! Alliance, of which the Instituto Superior Técnico, part of the University of Lisbon, is a member.
Proposals must involve at least three Unite! universities (or two, in the case of student proposals) and focus on the alliance's strategic areas: Sustainable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Entrepreneurship, Biological Engineering and Biotechnology, Space, Cybersecurity, Sustainable Cities, and Water.

Unite! Doctoral Scholarships
These scholarships are part of the protocol between FCT and ULisboa and are awarded for Doctoral studies in the priority intervention areas of Unite! (other areas are not excluded):
- Energy Storage and Conversion (photovoltaic energy, wind energy, batteries, hydrogen)
- Artificial Intelligence
- Industry 4.0
As part of the European University Unite!, the protocol includes universities in Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Austria, and Poland.

Open Call: LEAP-SE 2025
Applications are open for the 2025 edition of LEAP-SE: EU-Africa Cooperation on Sustainable Energy, promoted by FCT. This call is part of the long-term partnership between the African Union and the European Union and funds R&I projects in sustainable energy. According to the information available on the FCT website, "this partnership is part of the ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Energy’ (CCSE) framework of the AU-EU High-Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) on Science, Technology and Innovation," under Horizon Europe.

Scientific Research Grant (BIC): PhD Candidates and Researchers
The French Institute of Portugal is opening a competition for the awarding of individual mobility grants (PhD and post-doctoral level) for Portuguese or foreign researchers residing in Portugal who are working at a Portuguese research institution.
The grant allows the winners of the competition to go to a laboratory or research unit in France for one month, covering mobility, accommodation, and food costs.
This is intended for researchers and young researchers who wish to establish new Franco-Portuguese collaborations.
