Public Initiatives

DEEC, together with the other Departments from Instituto Superior Técnico, is fully committed to bringing together University and Society in general. This connection to Society takes shape through public initiatives such as open seminars or courses for promoting technical and scientific topics of broad interest, or through other specific actions taken in the context of protocols with companies, organization of courses and visits for high school students and relationships with alumni.

In the context of protocols with companies, scholarships may be given for the completion of Master Theses or Doctoral Theses whose subjects are of technical and scientific interest for them.

Together with high school, DEEC organizes and participates in several activities of interest to students willing to choose a course for their University studies.

Protocols with Companies

In its policy of openess towards society at large for transference of knowledge and skills, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering supports cooperation protocols with several companies.

These companies have supported work in Final Year Thesis and Master Thesis.
