Inês Reis Gaspar, former student of Electrical and Computer Engineering, won an honorable mention awarded by the REN prize jury, with a monetary value of 2,500 euros.

The work entitled “Use of energy storage systems in electricity markets” earned him an honorable mention. The former student is currently part of the Iberian team at Aurora Energy Research, in Oxford.

The REN 2021 Award ceremony, which took place on December 6, was attended by Francisco Pinto Balsemão, president of Impresa, Manuel Heitor, minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, and Rodrigo Costa, CEO of REN.
