The 2010 edition of the UTL/Santander-Totta scientific awards distinguished 3 DEEC professors.

Professors José Manuel Bioucas Dias, Carlos António Cardoso Fernandes and Fernando Manuel Bernardo Pereira, professors at DEEC/IST and researchers at IT, respectively received the award and two honorable mentions from this year's edition of the UTL/Santander-Totta scientific awards in the area of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Informatic Engineering, and Aeronautics (Avionics) Engineering.
