Emmanuel Cruzeiro will participate in the Young Scientists Seminar Conference

On next Friday, March 14th, the Young Scientists Seminar Conference and the Award Ceremony for the Symmetries of Lisbon Sidewalks Contest will take place. These events are promoted by the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon (ACL) in collaboration with the Young Scientists Seminar (SJC), aiming to celebrate the International Day of Mathematics, Art, and Creativity. The conference will begin at 2:30 PM and will feature discussions on various mathematical topics, their current challenges, and their connection to society.
Emmanuel Cruzeiro, a professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) and a researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), will discuss the mathematical challenges in quantum foundations. The session will also feature contributions from Maria Ivette Gomes (FC-ULisboa and ACL) and João Cancela (NOVA FCSH and SJC).
The session will be held in a hybrid format, both at the Noble Hall of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon and via videoconference.
