DEEC-JD8: Open call for tenure-track Faculty Positions

DEEC-JD8 is searching extremely high potential young PhD holders for tenure-track Faculty Positions Call for proposals. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) of Técnico Lisboa (IST), University of Lisbon, is looking for extremely high potential young scientists, holding a PhD degree, to possibly become a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Requirements and desired skills
Prospective candidates must have earned a doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related area. A strong research track record and University-level teaching experience are preferential qualifications. The ability to foster an inspiring working environment and set up a network of scientific collaborations within and outside the university is highly valuable. A strong motivation to implement their own vision and setting up their own (externally funded) research program is also required. Strong communication skills and proficiency of the English language are required.

This should include, but not be limited to: name, e-mail, URL, area of expertise, university that granted the PhD degree, PhD degree date, PhD supervisor, current employment situation. - Motivation letter & teaching/research statement (2-page).
Should describe your research interests, and how they intersect with DEEC/IST, main achievements to date, teaching areas where you would like to be involved, previous teaching experience, etc. - Up to 3 names and contacts of people who could be contacted as referees or provide recommendation letters, upon request.
A shortlist of candidates will be invited for a (ZOOM) interview; the detailed format will be communicated at a later stage.
