Applications are now open for the 4th edition of CMU Portugal's Affiliated Doctoral Programs

Applications are now open for the 4th edition of the Affiliated Doctoral Programs of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal (CMU Portugal) with the support of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), where up to 12 doctoral scholarships will be made available.

Applications are open between March 25th and May 2nd and all information is available on the CMU Portugal website.

On April 9th at 2pm, there will be an online session to clarify doubts about this application. The registration is open here.

Eligible candidates will be those who are enrolled or intend to enroll for the next academic year in Doctoral Programs in Portuguese Higher Education Institutions, and who submit applications related to the following areas: Machine Learning, Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy, Software Engineering, Human-Machine Interaction, Spoken Language Technologies, Robotics and Societal Computing. Applications that have a connection with a technology company will be valued.

Through the Affiliated Doctoral Programs, students will have access to a scholarship that will fund up to 4 years of their doctoral journey, including up to 1 year of a research period subordinate to the thesis at Carnegie Mellon University.

Applications must be submitted using a specific form available on the CMU Portugal Program website at www.cmuportugal.org. Among the requirements for the application, the candidate will need to present in the application a supervisor in Portugal and a co-supervisor at CMU, as well as a detailed work plan.
