In the 2020 edition, prize Prof. Luís Vidigal was awarded to the Thesis "Unlimited Vector Extension with Data Streaming Support, developed by João Mário Domingos, Electrical and Computer Engineering alumnus.

The prize Prof. Luís Vidigal is intended to annually award the author of a Master's Thesis developed in IST, whose theme falls within the scientific areas of Electrical, Informatics and Computers Engineering and which, in the opinion of the Jury, brings together the best scientific characteristics, innovation and quality.

The presentation of the winning Thesis was held at the welcoming session for new LEEC students, by Eng. Fernando Moreira, from INESC, and the prize was awarded by Prof. Carlos Salema, IST Emeritus Professor.
