BPI rewards several projects developed by student groups

Bearing in mind the importance of the activities developed by student groups, BPI joins Técnico and rewards the extracurricular activities promoted by Student Groups at Instituto Superior Técnico. This Tuesday, 17th December, 8 projects were distinguished with BPI award, under – CA2ECTécnico.

“I would like to thank for the support that BPI has given us over the years, namely this award”, said professor Arlindo Oliveira, president of Técnico, who also highlighted the importance of this partnership in school life. “The activities carried out by our student groups and the student groups themselves are very important to academic life”.

“We are very proud to be part of these partnership that recognises the excellent work of these talented students”, said Amândio Paulino, director of BPI. “We hope that you can improve your talent and that you succeed in facing the great challenges ahead”, he added.

Margarida Rodrigues, student member of the Executive Committee of Pedagogical Board (CP), praised the students for their activities and their role in Técnico academic life. “These projects and the student groups allow a fruitful exchange of experiences between students”. Margarida Rodrigues thanked BPI “for recognising these projects and taking them on a new dimension, and also for covering a larger number of students”.

The students presented their projects, ideas and implementation plan. “It is very gratifying to see our work recognised by Técnico and BPI. Some of our projects wouldn’t be possible without this support”, said Raquel Silva, member of Fórum Civil.

The Projects awarded were:

  • Escola de Verão ASTRO 2019 (NFIST), 1.000 euros
  • Evolução Protótipo (PSEM), 1.000 euros
  • Encontros ao Fim (GTIST), 750 euros
  • Partilhar Futuros (NEEA), 750 euros
  • Curso de Primeiros Socorros (NEBIST), 700 euros
  • VII Conferência de Engenharia Naval (NAEN), 700 euros
  • N3E Robotics (N3E), 600 euros
  • “UmMinutoCom…” (Fórum Civil), 500 euros
