Professor Isabel Trancoso was awarded the 2009 IEEE Signal Processing Society Leo L. Beranek Meritorious Service Award, "for outstanding service and leadership to the worldwide community in the field of speech processing".

This Merit Award is given based on dedication, effort and contributions to the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
