The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering welcomes Alberto Vale, who joins the department as an Assistant Professor.

Professor Alberto Vale was a Researcher at Institute for Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion (IPFN) at IST since 2008, and his research fields are mobile robotics, autonomous navigation, sensing technologies and defense against CBRNe threats (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high yield explosives)

Professor Alberto Vale has declared that he will bring the experience gathered during the years of research to boost the classes, namely during this semester when the new Teaching Model and Pedagogical Practices starts.
