The Internship of Introduction to Telecommunications (INTELE) took place from the 3rd to the 7th of July

From the 3rd to the 7th of July we had another edition of the Internship of Introduction to Telecommunications (INTELE), organized by Professor Custódio Peixeiro, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), and researcher at "Instituto de Telecomunicações" (IT). This year's edition had the participation of 20 secondary students.

This internship aims to provide an introduction to telecommunications and lasts 30 hours (3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, over 5 days).

The mornings were dedicated to group presentations, laboratory visits and experimental sessions. During the afternoons, the students assembled FM radio receiver kits, visited the Faraday Museum and entered an anechoic chamber.

The students also had contact with printed circuit manufacturing and testing techniques, soldered the components of the “kits” and tested the circuits at the end.
