Pedro Domingos is one of the authors recommended by Bill Gates

Pedro Domingos, a graduate in Electrical and Computer Engineering and current professor of Computer Science at the University of Washington, released the book The Master Algorithm in 2015, discussing the latest advances and the future of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning mechanisms.
On the 27th of last month, the researcher answered some questions in an interview to Visão.
The risk is not that computers will become too intelligent and take over the world; it’s that they are to stupid and have already taken over the world.

In the interview, the researcher mentions that, although he doesn’t know him personally, he has crossed paths with the creator of Microsoft a few times and that his book was recommended to Bill Gates by one of the company’s directors. Pedro Domingos highlights that the theme of the book is present not only in the lives of professionals but also consumers, in general, through tools like Siri and Google Now.
