ElectroScience: a section about the researchers from DEEC
Release date: January 17

In the new section ElectroScience, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to showcase the latest scientific advancements made by its researchers across various scientific fields, including artificial intelligence, energy, computers, electronics, telecommunications and robotics.
Currently, the DEEC collaborates with the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering: Research and Development (INESC-ID), the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), and the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR), where several faculty members conduct research and develop projects.
One of the most recent projects is ISTSAt-1, led by Rui Rocha, launched in August of last year. Its main goal is to collect some information (data packets) sent by airplanes to help improve air traffic control in the future. To learn more about this project, read the testimony from the researcher.
