In the 2024 edition, the Universidade de Lisboa / Caixa Geral de Depósitos Scientific Awards honoured 13 Técnico researchers (seven awards and six honourable mentions).

Mário Silveirinha, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), was the winner in the Scientific Area of ​​Electrical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering (Avionics).

The award ceremony – research grants worth 6,500 euros – will take place on 25 June at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Rectorate Building, Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa).

The award aims to “reward scientific research activities and encourage the submission of papers in renowned international journals”, covering 26 scientific areas.
