The Ph.D. Programme in Electrical and Computer Engineering (PDEEC) usually has a duration of 4 years.

The student should demonstrate broad technical breadth, steady progress in research activities, contribution to the body of knowledge in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and capacity to disseminate knowledge through oral and written forms.

The student demonstrates broad technical breadth by taking graduate courses (UCs) in a minimum total of 30 ECTS.

The student may demonstrate the capacity to disseminate knowledge by taking the UC “Teaching Skills DEEC” (6 ECTS), students being advised to register to this UC.

The student has to present the thesis proposal up to 18 months after admission to PDEEC, to the Thesis Monitoring Committee (CAT).

The student should show progress in research activities by publishing papers in scientific journals and conferences.

The student demonstrates contribution to the body of knowledge in Electrical and Computer Engineering by writing the thesis.
