25th Edition of the Prof. Luís Vidigal Award

This award is intended to annually honour the author of a master’s dissertation whose topic falls within the scientific areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Computer Engineering and which, in the opinion of the Jury, demonstrates outstanding scientific merit, innovation and quality.

Telethon 2026

On February 7, Telethon will take place — a hackathon focused on Telecommunications, that is, a technology competition in which the challenge for undergraduate student teams is to characterise a case study on the use of 5G in one of the identified economic sectors. The event will start at 9:30 am at the Técnico Innovation Center (Alameda Campus), Arco do Cego, Av. Duque de Ávila 417, 1000-135 Lisbon.

APREN Award

This year, the APREN Award will grant four distinctions: two in the PhD category, with amounts of €5,500 and €3,500, and two in the master’s category, worth €4,000 and €2,000, respectively.

This initiative is aimed at students who have completed theses related to the renewable energy sector at Portuguese higher education institutions.
