Professor Fernando Pereira, has been selected for the 2023 IEEE Signal Processing Society Leo L. Beranek Meritorious Service Award. This Meritorious Award is delivered based on dedication, effort, and contributions to the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

The 2023 award will be delivered at ICASSP 2024 in Seoul, Korea. It comprises a $1500 award, a plaque and a certificate.

Professor Fernando Pereira, was elevated to IEEE Fellow in 2007, distinguished with the IEEE Certificate of Merit in 2010, elected Member-at-Large of the IEEE Signal Processing Society in 2011, and elected to the Board of Governors of the IEEE Signal Processing Society in 2013.
