Manuel Ruivo, Master in Electrical and Computer Engineering, was the big winner of the 2023 edition of the Luís Vidigal Award.

The award was presented at the closing session of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Days (JEEC), by the president of the INOV Board of Directors, Fernando Moreira, and was presented by Professor Carlos Salema, Professor Emeritus of DEEC, and Professor José Santos-Victor, President of DEEC.

After receiving the diploma, Manuel Ruivo presented his thesis, “Learning-Based Point Cloud Geometry Coding: Integrating Sampling Tools for Increased RD Performance“.
