Mário Figueiredo, faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, is once again included in the Thomson Reuters list of "Highly Cited Researchers" in 2015, after having been listed in the previous year.

The inclusion of researchers in the "Highly Cited Researchers" list is highly significant for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, for Técnico, and for the University of Lisbon, as it is one of the criteria used to create rankings of higher education institutions.
