Blackout! Electrical and Computer Engineering on the Front Line of the Crisis Response!

On May 28 at 12:30 PM in room EA1, the closing panel discussion of this academic year’s EletroStart program will take place. This session is aimed at students of LEEC and MEEC but is open to all IST students.

Taking advantage of a recent and unexpected event — the blackout — this panel will explore, through real-life accounts, how Electrical and Computer Engineering responds to a crisis of this scale.

What to expect?

Key speakers from the energy distribution and communications sectors, along with professors from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), will explain what happens behind the scenes during a crisis and what it takes to restore the functioning of society.
