Electrical Engineering Alumni from the 1972-78 Class Award Scholarship

On the 25th, the Alumni Técnico Scholarships award ceremony took place in the Meeting Room of the Central Pavilion at the Alameda campus. This edition saw a renewal and four new scholarships awarded by the students from the 1972-1978 Electrical Engineering class and the Alumni Association of the Instituto Superior Técnico.
Hugo Pereira, a student of the Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering (LEEC), received the scholarship awarded by the alumni of the same course. The program aims to support students at Instituto Superior Técnico who demonstrate good academic performance but face financial difficulties and are not covered by the scholarships provided by the University of Lisbon's Social Action Services.
Since scholarships were awarded to students from different courses, the ceremony was attended by the coordinators of the LEEC, Paulo Correia and Teresa Vazão, as well as Rogério Colaço, President of Técnico, Pedro Amaral, Vice-President for Business Interface, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, the coordinators of the Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering (António Leitão and Carlos Martinho), the coordinator of the Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics and Computing, Lina Oliveira and João Rasga, Vice-President of the Department of Mathematics for Study Cycles.
