DEEC CALL 4TAs - Collection of expressions of interest to support teaching in the academic year 2023-2024

1. SCOPE OF THE CALL
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) at IST ensures a large number of curricular units that integrate the curricular plans of various Bachelor and Master courses at IST.
In order to reinforce the teaching capacity of these curricular units, DEEC regularly uses human resources to support teaching, on a temporary basis, in curricular units close to their areas of specialization. This CALL aims to systematize the collection of information from candidates who can support teaching in DEEC's training offer.
2. PROFILE OF CANDIDATES
We are looking for candidates with a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar, interested in collaborating in teaching activities and with academic and/or professional performance relevant to DEEC's teaching areas. We are looking for candidates to provide teaching support that meet the following conditions:
1. Bachelor's or Master's students to be enrolled in 2023/2024;
2. Master's students;
3. PhD students;
4. PhD researchers;
5. Professionals with relevant experience in teaching and adequate academic training.
The type / duration of the contract to be concluded will be defined later, individually, and depending on the experience, academic qualifications and contractual conditions of the candidates. The possibilities are: i) contracts as Teaching Assistants (6 hours per week);
ii) credits within the scope of the Curricular Unit of "teaching support" of the Doctoral program;
iii) fixed-term contracts as guest assistants / guest assistant professors, with dedication to be defined or within the scope of article 32 of the ECDU (without remuneration).
