The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) of Técnico Lisboa (IST), University of Lisbon (www.tecnico.ulisboa.pt), is looking for extremely high potential young scientists, holding a PhD degree, to possibly become a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Requirements and desired skills:
Prospective candidates must have earned a doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related area. A strong research track record and University-level teaching experience are preferential qualifications. The ability to foster an inspiring working environment and set up a network of scientific collaborations within and outside the university is highly valuable. A strong motivation to implement their own vision and setting up their own (externally funded) research program is also required. Strong communication skills and proficiency of the English language are required.

• Detailed CV showing why you are an extremely high potential young PhD holder (6-page max).
  This should include, but not be limited to: name, e-mail, URL, area of expertise, university that granted the PhD degree, PhD degree date, PhD supervisor, current employment situation.
  
• Motivation letter & teaching/research statement (2-page).
  Should describe your research interests, and how they intersect with DEEC/IST, main achievements to date, teaching areas where you would like to be involved, previous teaching experience, etc.
  
• Up to 3 names and contacts of people who could be contacted as referees or provide recommendation letters, upon request.
