Erasmus Mundus MIR Master's Program opens applications
Applications deadline: June 22

Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus Master's in Intelligent Marine and Maritime Robotics (MIR) for the 2025/26 academic year. This program combines robotics and artificial intelligence within the context of advanced marine and maritime sciences and their technological applications. It is aimed at Master's students in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The MIR Master's promotes the development of skills to design, implement, and test advanced multi-robot systems, contributing to safer, more efficient, and more effective maritime operations in both scientific and commercial contexts. The MIR program is designed to provide advanced training in robotics, with the goal of improving the efficiency, health and safety, and environmental performance of offshore and maritime operations.
Graduates of the MIR program will become specialists in robotics and AI for the offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, naval, and maritime sectors. Additionally, they will acquire knowledge applicable to motion planning, navigation, and control of autonomous and remotely operated vehicles, including hybrids and underwater gliders.
To apply their knowledge in practice, students will have access to Técnico’s facilities and receive guidance from IST engineers.
