The TecInnov TEKEVER competition aims to support the development of innovative ideas in the fields of aerospace engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence, navigation and control, as well as in areas related to the design and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It seeks to challenge undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to propose solutions that address real challenges identified by TEKEVER, promoting creativity, the practical application of knowledge, and technological innovation.

Teams must be composed mainly of members of the Técnico academic community.

Main areas of intervention:

• Enclosed High Lifting Device for Improved Efficiency at Reduced Speeds;
• UAV Design for Saturn Moon Applications;
• Morphing Wing for High- and Low-Speed Applications;
• Visual-Based Navigation and Real-Time Mapping in GNSS-Denied Environments;
• How to turn remote piloting into a sustainable and attractive long-term career path;
• Drone-on-Drone Fight;
• Other projects within TEKEVER’s areas of activity.

The competition offers:

• Financial support of up to €2,500 per project;
• TEKEVER mentorship for 6 months;
• Skill development and project development opportunities;
• ECTS credits framed within extracurricular activities.

Dates

• Application submission – until November 17, 2025 through the following form: http://ist.pt/TecInnovTekever2025
• Application evaluation / Pre-selection – until November 21.
• Summary presentation (pitch) of each pre-selected application – until November 28, 2025.
• Final selection and results announcement – by December 5, 2025.
• Implementation of Proofs of Concept – by May 30, 2026.
