FST Lisboa Crowned Three-Time Champion at Formula Student Portugal and Reaches the Podium in Spain

The 3rd edition of Formula Student Portugal took place from July 27 to August 1 at the Castelo Branco Motorsport Park, with over 600 students from 29 university teams from different countries participating.
Debuting their latest prototype, the FST14, the team secured 1st place—for the third time—in both the electric vehicle (EV) and driverless vehicle (DV) categories, leading in all dynamic events: acceleration, endurance, efficiency, autocross, and skidpad (with driver); and acceleration, trackdrive, autocross, and skidpad (in autonomous mode). In the static events, they also achieved 1st place in engineering design, 2nd place in cost and manufacturing, and 3rd place in the business plan presentation.
The judging panel included Formula 1 industry experts, aerospace engineers, and university faculty.
Following the competition in Castelo Branco, the team went on to compete in Formula Student Spain at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, from August 4 to 10, demonstrating their determination to achieve top results.
In Spain, where 37 teams competed, the FST14 placed 2nd in the electric vehicle category and 6th in the driverless vehicle category. n the DV category, they secured 1st place in autocross, design, and business plan, and 2nd place in acceleration and cost and manufacturing. In the EV category, they took 1st place in business plan, 4th in design, cost and manufacturing, and skidpad, and 5th in acceleration.
Lastly, at Hockenheimring, in Germany, the team achieved 24th place in the electric vehicle category and 9th place in the driverless vehicle category.
