João Catelas receives Alcino Lavrador Recognition

João Catelas, an alumnus of the Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, was one of the winners of the 1st edition of the Alcino Lavrador Recognition. This award, presented by Altice Labs, aims to honor the best undergraduate and master's students in the areas of Information, Communication, and Electronics Technologies (TICE) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) from partner universities and polytechnics.

For being the best student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, João Catelas received a prize of 2,500 euros. The name of the award was given in honor of Alcino Lavrador, former general director of Altice Labs, recalling his contribution to innovation.

The alumnus previously received the Ivo Gonçalves Merit Award, having been the top student of his master's degree, specializing in energy, in 2023.
