Luís Miguel Silveira, Full Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) and INESC-ID researcher, has been chosen as President-Elect of the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA), with a mandate for two years.

This appointment takes place after professor Luís Silveira has served two mandates, over four years, as vice-president for Publications. As President-Elect, professor Luís Silveira is a member of the Strategy Committee and represents CEDA in several IEEE forums.
