On the 28th, Técnico released the Guide for the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence, which includes guidelines for the responsible use of AI in teaching and research. The guide was developed with contributions from Paulo André, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações.

The document brings together several topics, reflecting on the impact of AI on society, the risks it poses to academic life, as well as its ethical use in course units, in the preparation of assignments, and in the writing of scientific articles. In addition, the guide also addresses the adoption of new teaching and learning methodologies, in accordance with current European legislation.
