There are 7 researchers from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) among the best scientists in the world in the field of Computer Science in 2024, according to the 10th edition of the world ranking launched by the Guide2Research portal.
In the list of the 40 Portuguese scientists affiliated with national institutions, are the Electrical and Computer Engineering professors José Bioucas Dias (IT) (ranked 1st), Mário Figueiredo (IT), José Santos-Victor (ISR-Lisbon), Fernando Pereira (IT), Leonel Sousa (INESC-ID) , Isabel Trancoso (INESC-ID), and André Martins (IT).
