FST Lisboa Debuts the FST14 at Formula Student Portugal

The Formula Student Portugal competition returned this week to the Castelo Branco Circuit, where FST Lisboa is debuting its latest prototype, the FST14 – the lightest electric vehicle ever built by the team. The competition, which brings together over 30 international teams, runs until August 1st.

The FST14 has already passed tests related to electrical and autonomous driving systems, tilt, waterproofing, braking, and the EBS system, having successfully cleared all technical inspections. Today, the SkidPad, Acceleration, Trackdrive, and Auto-X events are taking place, followed by the first awards ceremony. Tomorrow, the team will compete in the Endurance event, and a second awards ceremony will follow.

This year's prototype can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds with a driver, and in under 2 seconds in autonomous mode, reaching a top speed of 117 km/h.

Last year, the team led the event on the Portuguese track with the FST13, securing 1st place in both the electric and autonomous vehicle categories and setting new records in SkidPad and Acceleration events.
