On July 4, Afonso Vale, a Master’s graduate in Aerospace Engineering, received the Best Master’s Thesis Video Award from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The award, which aims to recognize the best video about master’s theses completed in the MEEC, MEE, MEAer, METI, and MECD programs — supervised (or co-supervised) by faculty members from the department — was presented during the Master@DEEC event, by Professor Nuno Horta, President of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Professor Isabel Ribeiro.

Afonso Vale was recognized for his video on the thesis titled "Design, Control, and Testing of a Trimodal Unmanned Aerial Vehicle", supervised by Professors Meysam Basiri and Frederico Reis Afonso. The project focuses on optimizing the operational efficiency of aerial vehicles, emphasizing their versatility.
