Throughout the course, topics such as globalization, the relationship between innovation and industry, and the concept of agility will be addressed. João Picoito discussed Europe's presence in the global market, questioning how it will keep up with the so-called 4th industrial revolution, in a competition where China has shown a significant increase in technological development over recent years. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of investing in hardware and software technologies, as well as the academic training of professionals in STEM areas.

On the other hand, the coordinator also mentioned the inevitable growth of artificial intelligence and investment in areas like this, where the United States plays a dominant role. He emphasized that generative AI will enable new research, new business models, greater productivity, and more personalized services, pointing out the importance of regulating it to set boundaries.

There is a very strong connection between industry and innovation.
