On May 28, the Técnico Career Center invites you to a special edition of Alumni Talks – Student Groups Edition, an event dedicated to alumni who were part of student groups and associations at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and who now carry that experience into impactful careers across diverse fields such as technology, healthcare, engineering, energy, and innovation.

This session will be an opportunity to learn from the real-life journeys of former students who began their academic path in groups such as the AeroTéc – Aerospace Engineering Students Group, IEEE-IST Student Branch, JUNITEC – Junior Enterprises of Instituto Superior Técnico, TUIST – University Tuna of Instituto Superior Técnico, NEETI – Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering Students Group, TFIST – Female Tuna of Instituto Superior Técnico, among others, and who today stand out in PhDs, startups, multinational companies, and leading organizations.

Among the speakers are alumni such as Duarte Brito (AeroTéc); João Peixoto (AeroTéc); Vicente Mayer Garção (Lampsy Health / Diferencial); Eliana Neuza Silva (IEEE-IST); Maria Teresa Magina (Uber / JUNITEC); António Januário (Beyond Vision / TLMoto); Joana Sanches (Galp / TFIST); Vasco Pereira (OutSystems / TUIST); and Daniela Tinoco (Vodafone / NEETI).

This will be an informal and close conversation, where participants will be able to understand how involvement in student groups contributed to skills development, network building, and the shaping of professional paths. It will also be an opportunity to ask questions and network with alumni who share a similar background.
