Instituto Superior Técnico will once again open the doors of the Alameda campus to high school students during the Easter holidays, between April 7 and 11. The second edition of the program Férias no Técnico is now open for registration and will have the participation of the Student Association of Electrical and Computer Engineering (NEEC). The initiative aims to introduce and give students a chance to experience academic life while offering various science activities for high school students.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet students, faculty, and scientists from Instituto Superior Técnico. They will be challenged with various problems from different fields of Engineering and will need to get hands-on to solve them.

The activities will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (except on Thursday, when they will end at 9 p.m. with a dinner-social event).

Program activities include:

• The Piano of Bananas – Student Association of Electrical and Computer Engineering (NEECIST)
• Spatial Design – LISAT Space - Lisbon’s New Satellite (LISAT)
• Unicorn for a Day – Junior Enterprises of Instituto Superior Técnico (JUNITEC)
• Hydraulic Claw – Student Association of Mechanical Engineering (Fórum Mecânica)
• Circus of Physics – Student Association of Technological Physics (NFIST)
• Promenade – Student Association of Architecture (NucleAR)
• Civil Engineer for a Day – Student Association of Civil Engineering (Fórum Civil)
• Biological: Science in Real Life – Biological Engineering Association (NEBIST)
• Isolation of Orange Aroma – Chemical Engineering Association (NEQIST)

Participation in the Férias no Técnico program requires a payment of 120 euros upon registration. Children of Instituto Superior Técnico employees receive a discount, with registration costing 85 euros.
