On September 19 at 5 p.m., ISTrain will present its first electric locomotive to the community: Andorinha. The event will take place in the Main Hall of the Alameda campus.

The name of the team's first prototype was chosen as a tribute to the swallow, which became a symbol of speed and national pride during the 19th century, a period when the Portuguese railway network was first being developed.

The team plans to take the locomotive to the IMechE Railway Challenge 2027, making its debut in the track challenges.
