On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the “XVI Técnico Graduation Day” will be celebrated, during which certificates will be awarded to Master’s (Integrated and 2nd Cycle) and Doctoral (3rd Cycle) graduates who completed their degrees by December 2024.(*). The formal ceremony will take place in the Aula Magna of the University of Lisbon and will feature speeches by two alumni of Electrical and Computer Engineering: Maria Vilar, winner of this year’s Young Entrepreneur Award, and Ricardo Lameirinhas, a 3rd cycle graduate.

Program

• 9:00–9:30 AM – Graduate check-in
• 10:00 AM – Opening of the formal session
• 10:05 AM – Certificate presentation
• 11:25 AM – Speech by Professor Rogério Colaço, President of Instituto Superior Técnico
• 11:35 AM – Speech by Engineer Maria Vilar | Alumna
• 11:40 AM – Speech by Dr. Ricardo Lameirinhas | 3rd cycle graduate
• 11:45 AM – Speech by Engineer Leonor Matos | 2nd cycle graduate
• 11:50 AM – Speech by Professor Luís Ferreira, Rector of the University of Lisbon
• 12:00 PM – Closing of the formal session
• 12:00 PM – Musical performance by the IST University Student Tuna (TUIST)

Family and friends of each alumnus/alumna are also invited to attend the ceremony. However, guests will not be seated alongside the graduates during the event. Companion seating (family and friends) is subject to venue capacity and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
