During Lisboa Games Week 2025, taking place from November 20 to 23 at FIL – Lisbon, the Robot Extreme Competition (REC) invites all robotics enthusiasts to take part in a competition focused on designing and building robots, in a "competitive, demanding, and highly educational environment."

“REC is getting ready to take over the central arena with live battles between robots built by teams from across the country,” the organizers state. The challenge is open to everyone—from beginners to professionals in electronics, programming, mechanics, and design—and no prior experience is required. Between rounds, held in the arena, participants will also have the opportunity to repair and improve their prototypes.

The event will also feature classrooms, laboratories, and makerspaces, aimed at fostering the development of technical, creative, and teamwork skills.
