The 9th edition of the Hackathon will take place on March 28, 29, and 30, 2025, at a location to be determined, and applications close on December 20. The event is organized by JUNITEC – Junior Enterprises of Instituto Superior Técnico.

Aiming to combine technology and entrepreneurship, the 24-hour competition "challenges university students to explore their creative potential and develop innovative projects with a real impact on society." This edition's theme will be "Beyond the Edge of Innovation."

Teams will have access to specialized mentorship and support from partner companies, which will be present to encourage the development of technological solutions in highly relevant areas.

The technological marathon aims to "foster the entrepreneurial spirit, providing participants with a unique opportunity to learn, create, and stand out in a competitive environment." In the end, the most promising projects will be recognized, with total monetary prizes exceeding 10,000 euros.
