ElectroScience: Special for Women in Science

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC) will dedicate the months of February and March to active female researchers, marking February 11th - the International Day of Women and Girls in Science - and March 8th - International Women's Day.

Throughout the 8 weeks, content will be released to showcase projects and research from various fields, including robotics, artificial intelligence, energy, electronics, computers, and telecommunications.

In the first article, Catarina Barata, a faculty member of DEEC and a researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics, will explain how artificial intelligence can be used in the triage and diagnosis of cancer patients.

Stay tuned to our social media and our website to learn more about the work developed by these researchers.

The future of science is built today!
